Peanuts also know as groundnuts, earthnut, monkey-nut, and goobers, is the 13th most important food crop and 4th most important oilseed crop in the world. Peanut is native to Western Hemisphere however, it is now grown through out the tropical and warm temperature regions of the world. Today the world produces nearly 40 million tonnes of Peanut. China produces highest percentage of Peanuts closely followed by India at the second place.

India produced about 12 million tonnes of Peanut in year 2015. Gujarat is the largest Peanut producing state followed by Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Gujarat produces nearly 70% of the peanut production of India’s total Peanut Production. India exported more than 700,000 tonnes of Peanuts in year 2015.

  • The high levels of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats in Peanuts help to keep heart healthy. Oleic acid, in particular, helps to lower the LDL or “bad” cholesterol and increase “HDL” or good cholesterol level in the blood. Coriander aka Cilantro aka Dhania is origin to Middle East and Southern Europe however, it has been known to Asian Continent for more than a millennia. Such as other spices, Coriander is used for its fragrant and flavour in Dishes. The fruit of the coriander plant contains two seeds which, when dried, are the portions used as the dried spice.
